2023 Summer and Winter Taxes

2023 Tax Updates:

Summer Taxes 2023:

The deadline for paying your 2023 Summer taxes was Thursday, September 14th, 2023. If you missed the due date, please be aware that a 1% monthly penalty will be added for each month your payment remains outstanding, up to February 29, 2024. Any unpaid tax amount will be forwarded to the Genesee County Treasurer’s Office as delinquent on March 1, 2024.


Winter Taxes 2023:

The 2023 Winter tax bills will be mailed out during the first week of December and are due by February 14, 2024. A 3% penalty will be applied to winter taxes paid between February 15th and February 29th, 2024. You can make payments in person using a check or money order or mail your payment to Vienna Township Hall at 3400 West Vienna Road, Clio, MI 48420. There is also a convenient drop box located at the east entrance of the building for your use. Please note that postmarks will not be accepted.  To ensure your payment is received by February 14, 2024, you can choose one of the convenient payment options listed below:

Payment Options:

- **In-Person:** Visit our Township Offices on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- **Drop Box:** Place your payment securely in our drop box located at the east entrance of our Building.

- **Cash Payments:** If you prefer to pay cash, you can make payments at Independent Bank, located at 3500 W. Vienna Road, Clio. (Please Note: Independent Bank will only accept payment for tax bills without late interest accrued)

- **Credit Card Payments:** We accept credit card payments online or in our offices. Please be aware that a 3% convenience fee applies to credit card payments, and a $1.50 fee is applied for each ACH transaction.


Please note that the Vienna Township Treasurer's office only accepts current year tax bills. Therefore, starting on March 1st, all unpaid "Real Property" taxes are transferred and payable to the Genesee County Treasurer's office for collection. For inquiries about past due amounts, interest, and penalties, you can contact the County office at 810-257-3054 or visit their website at Genesee County Treasurers Office.


Delinquent Personal Property taxes, along with accrued interest and penalties, can be paid at the Vienna Township Treasurer's Office, or online.
